FBI investigations start in districts where a crime was committed and are overseen by the Bureau. They investigate reported crimes. Some crimes encompass many districts. The chain of command coordinates and oversee these investigations. These investigations are monitored and regulated by the FBI brass on the seventh floor.
In 2015 the FBI started an investigation that many have called a frame up or a coup d'etats. There was no oversight. The investigation started on the seventh floor.
The Trump investigation, code named "Crossfire Hurricane", officially started on July 31, 2016. We all now know now that covert ops started in the fall of 2015. The December 2015 Strozk/Page texts referenced the approval of "OCONUS lures". "OCONUS" is Outside Contiguous United States. "Lures" is FBI slang for spies. "Lures" was initially redacted by the FBI but later included in the OIG report.
To get a feel for what happened in 2016 the video interview with former FBI assistant director Kevin Brock is eye opening.
The accusations against former tops at the FBI are now hitting the media radar. Mostly on FOX or alternative media. But is spilling everywhere. Now that there is an investigation into the investigators, there is traction. None of former the top of the FBI still have their jobs. They are all very worried about prison time. Very few are attempting to respond and tell their side of the story. Most are lying low, remaining silent, hiring lawyers and hoping. Comey wrote a book. He still tweets. His punditry sounds more like a Harry Potter novel than a top cop. Righteous indignation is the theme of the few responses.
The players need a lawyer to respond. Who better than the General Counsel to the FBI James Baker,. Jim Baker recently sat down for an interview at the Brookings Institution with his dear friend Ben Wittes. This was aired on C-span. Why did Baker go public? To help the media. To define the narrative. Most of all to get in front of the accusations and indictments that may be coming soon, this is the video preview of their defense. It very long and is hard to watch. But I suggest you watch it. I will dissect it below.
Here is my dissection of the Baker Interview. This preview of their defense will show their concerns. It is quite good but has flaws. These flaws will later become avenues of investigation. The ultimate undoing will be the rats. Very few at the top will hesitate to blame someone else.
What started the FBI Russian Investigation? According to Baker, without question it was George Papadopoulos. "That was the nugget of information that started the investigation" There is no mention of the taint around the PapaD information.
George was a new hire and a minor player in the Trump Campaign in early 2016, he was called the coffee boy by the Trump Administration. but according to James Baker he was so important to the seventh floor at the FBI, that a major counterintelligence operation was launched on July 31, 2016. The information according to Baker came from "a trusted foreign source". The source was the Hakluyt board member, Australian, Clinton sycophant and $25 million dollar Clinton contributor. Alexander Downer. Apparently "the trusted and impartial" Downer was a recalling a conversation over cocktails (which he bought, paid for and requested the meeting) in a Kensington Bar in the West End of London. The investigation was launched not at a district level as usual, but at the very top of the FBI. This intelligence did not go through the usual "Five Eyes". It went through a former Hillary State department confidant, Elizabeth Dibble. So how did the top floor of FBI get involved? Two drunks at a Bar.
There is no mention of how PapaD was first associated with Russian Collusion. There is no mention of when were the known spies Joseph Mifsud, Putin's Niece, Stephan Halper or Azra Turk intersected with George. There is no mention that all were western intelligence agents. This all happened in Brennan's shadowy world. The FBI is setting it up to blame Brennan. Brennan's Interagency Task Force may prove to be everyone's undoing.
To Witte's credit he asks some tough questions. To Baker's credit he spins them all fairly well. I got the feeling the questions were known before the interview. Baker leans on the prior integrity and the noble traditions of the FBI constantly.
Baker spends much of the hour humanizing his agrieved FBI. But a little over an hour into the interview Baker makes a very big mistake. At 1:03:30 Baker States, "These are human beings, that are trying to do, at least on our side, the best that they can under difficult circumstances."
I purposely did not highlight this lawyer's mistake. I am listing it without context so you should watch most of the boring video to get context. When the context is exposed, it makes this one simple comment more egreggious and more understandable.
To what was your offhand phrase, "At least on our side", refer.
What was your side? As you stated "our" side, were you on a team? What team? What were the team objectives? What side were you on? What did your side do? I think many reading this already know. Mr. Baker, you may be going to prison.
This interview is a preview of first and foremost Jim Bakers defense and secondarilly the FBI defense. It will be fun to see it disintigrate.
Director - James Comey. Fired by President Trump. Admitted to leaking classifed information through his friend to the New York Times to get a Special Counsel Appointed.
Comey's Chief of staff - James Rybicki. Resigned for his role in helping craft a memo that exonerated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the investigation into her use of a private email server months before the investigation was finished.
Deputy Director - Andrew McCabe. Fired and lost his pension. Now being investigated by a Grand Jury. Also employed the infamous Lisa Page. Who has since resigned.
General Counsel to the FBI - James Baker. Resigned in 2017. Would later testify to Congress re abnormalities in the Russia Probe.
SACs - Special Agents in Charge. Some investigations are brought up from the org structure and the "Special Agents in Charge" report directly at the director level.
There were two ops that met this significant threshold from 2015 to 2017. Operation Mid Year Exam and Operation Crossfire Hurricane.
Mid Year Exam was the criminal investigation into the use or abuse of a private email server by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Crossfire Hurricane was the counter intelligence investigation of Russian Collusion with the Trump Campaign in the 2016 Election.
Noteable is the same SAC was Peter Strzok in both of these high profile elevated investigations.
What is also notable is that almost all of the FBI org chart was not involved in any wrongdoing.
Peter Paul Strzok II was born at the Kincheloe AFB Hospital near Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Peter Paul Strzok and Virginia Sue Harris. His father was a longtime member of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. One of Strzok's uncle's is Father James Strzok, SJ, a Jesuit priest doing missionary work in east Africa. The Strzok family hails from Poland. For high school, Strzok attended St. John's Preparatory School in Minnesota, graduating in 1987. He earned a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University in 1991 as well as a master's degree in 2013. After graduating from Georgetown in 1991, Strzok served as an officer in the United States Army before leaving to join the FBI in 1996 as an intelligence research specialist. Strzok is married to Melissa Hodgman, an associate director at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Strzok's acheivements and ability to multitask are historic. While still staying married he managed to:
But probably Strok's single biggest task was revealed in a simple but clear text message from Page to Strzok in August 2016.
In the months preceding the election, the texts clearly showed there was a "we". There was also clearly an ongoing effort to "stop" Trump. In another text to Page, Strzok called this effort "the insurance policy". This effort did not directly include Lisa Page as she was so worried in this text and possibly clueless. Who were the "we" that would stop it and what would the "we" do?
The smart money is on John Brennans's Inter Agency Task Force.
Just prior to this text, that seemed to come as no surprise to the Deep State, was James Comey's unforgettable public statement on the Clinton email scandal. This 15 minute statement crafted by Comey months before, spent 13 and half minutes describing Clinton felonies. I think the entire US thought she was going to prison. I know I did. I was astounded with the finale.
Before viewing I had been sure the fix was in. AG Loretta Lynch, tarnished with the secretive Bill Clinton meeting on the tarmac in Arizona was too conflicted to function. But watching James Comey expose Hillary's felonies on national TV was shocking. Hillary would pay after all.
BUT. Comey then summarized with the "no reasonable prosecutor would prosecute" get out of jail card for free. The fix was in after all. Comey then discusses the integrity of the investigation.
You need to see it again. It's not the same the second time around. The Comey 15 minutes of hypocrisy is an obvious fraud.
Page and Strzok already knew "Operation Midyear Exam" would let Hillary escape prosecution. Criminally. The second part in rigging the election was to "stop him".
Unfortunately for the gifted multitasker Peter, he is probably headed to prison. Was he just "following orders"?
The last chapter on Brennan hints at this. The Bureau was pushed by the CIA. The investigation at the FBI started with the EC or "Elecronic Communication with "evidence" from the Interagency Task Force in Langely. The EC was written by Peter Strzok from information supplied from John Brennan at CIA. Brennan not only admits it, but seems to be proud.
America's two "premier" news organizations, the New York Times and the Washington Post would not report the genesis of the story. Did they miss it or hide it? We will probably never know for sure. The British Press has been far in front of these two journalistic lagards for many years. The following is a reprint of an article in "TheMarketsWork.com" written by Jeff Carlson on April 12, 2018.
On April 11, 2018, Devin Nunes was given access to a slightly redacted copy of the Electronic Communication.
Deputy AG Rosenstein and FBI Director Wray were facing a Congressional impeachment vote if they failed to deliver by last night.
After numerous unfulfilled requests for an Electronic Communication (EC) related to the opening of the FBI’s Russia counterintelligence probe, Chairman Trey Gowdy and I met this afternoon with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
During the meeting, we were finally given access to a version of the EC that contained the information necessary to advance the Committee’s ongoing investigation of the Department of Justice and FBI. Although the subpoenas issued by this Committee in August 2017 remain in effect, I’d like to thank Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein for his cooperation today.
A Justice Official noted the following:
[The EC contains limited redactions] narrowly tailored to protect the name of a foreign country and the name of a foreign agent.
These words must remain redacted after determining that revealing the words could harm the national security of the American people by undermining the trust we have with this foreign nation. These words appear only a limited number of times, and do not obstruct the underlying meaning of the document.
The question now becomes – what foreign country and what foreign agent.
There are two probable answers.
And a Wild Card:
Australia and Alexander Downer relate to the FBI’s reported reasoning for the July Investigation – and involve George Papadopoulos. More later.
Trump’s candidacy was not particularly welcomed by the U.S. political establishment.
Governing bodies in Britain and the European Union were also worried.
The European Union was feeling pressure from Merkel’s “Open Borders” policy and ongoing monetary policy dissension:
A new terror warning was issued for European cties. At what point do we say we have had enough and get really tough and smart. Weak leaders!
— Donald J. Trump (%<40>realDonaldTrump) December 26, 2015
Britain was contending with the Brexit Movement:
Many people are equating BREXIT, and what is going on in Great Britain, with what is happening in the U.S. People want their country back!
— Donald J. Trump (%<40>realDonaldTrump) June 24, 2016
The EU viewed Candidate-Trump’s rhetoric with growing alarm.
European Intelligence Agencies noticed as well.
The Guardian reported on the role of British Intelligence in an April 13, 2017 article:
GCHQ first became aware in late 2015 of suspicious “interactions” between figures connected to Trump and known or suspected Russian agents. This intelligence was passed to the US as part of a routine exchange of information
Over the next six months, until summer 2016, a number of western agencies shared further information on contacts between Trump’s inner circle and Russians.
DNI James Clapper, confirmed EU involvement during Congressional testimony:
Feinstein: Over the spring of 2016, multiple European allies passed on additional information to the United States about contacts between the Trump campaign and Russians. Is this accurate?
Clapper: Yes, it is, and it’s also quite sensitive. The specifics are quite sensitive.
Clapper also give an indication as to the quality – or lack thereof – of the intelligence:
Feinstein: What did the intelligence agencies do with the findings the Guardian wrote about?
Clapper: I’m not sure about the accuracy of that article. There was evidence of Russian activity. Mainly, in an information gathering or recon ordering mode, where they were investigating voter registration rolls and the like.
That activity started early, and so, we were monitoring this as it progressed.
CIA Director John Brennan was the conduit for intelligence flows from Europe:
Last April , the CIA director was shown intelligence that worried him. It was – allegedly – a tape recording of a conversation about money from the Kremlin going into the US presidential campaign.
It was passed to the US by an intelligence agency of one of the Baltic States.
Sometime in the early summer, Robert Hannigan, Britain’s intelligence head of Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) traveled to Washington D.C. to meet with Brennan regarding alleged communications between the Trump Campaign and Moscow:
That summer, GCHQ’s then head, Robert Hannigan, flew to the US to personally brief CIA chief John Brennan. The matter was deemed so important that it was handled at “director level”, face-to-face between the two agency chiefs.
Hannigan’s U.S. counterpart wasn’t CIA Director Brennan – it was NSA Director Mike Rogers.
In April 2016, Rogers began an investigation into FISA Abuse involving the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division and DOJ’s National Security Division ( More here).
Rogers’ investigation might explain Hannigan’s unorthodox approach to Brennan. Conversely, Hannigan’s visit to Brennan might explain Rogers’ investigation.
Brennan used information gained from Hannigan – and other European sources – to start a multi-faceted investigation.
Brennan used the GCHQ information and other tip-offs to launch a major inter-agency investigation.
The taskforce included six agencies or departments of government.
The FBI, Treasury, and DOJ handled the domestic inquiry. The CIA, Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the National Security Agency handled foreign and intelligence aspects.
Brennan’s inter-agency task force is not to be confused with the July 2016 FBI Counterintelligence Investigation – which formed later at Brennan’s urging.
Following the establishment of the inter-agency task force it was reported a FISA warrant was sought in June 2016:
Lawyers from the National Security Division in the Department of Justice drew up an application. They took it to the secret US court that deals with intelligence, the FISA court. They wanted permission to intercept electronic records from two Russian banks.
Their first application, in June , was rejected outright by the judge.
At this point, I can’t verify with absolute certainty the existence OR non-existence of the June ’16 FISA Application.
But it’s worth noting that Senator Chuck Grassley requested information regarding the June ’16 FISA Application in a June 28, 2017 letter.
Brennan’s May 23, 2017 House Intelligence testimony provided some further clues to what was transpiring:
I was aware of intelligence and information about contacts between Russian officials and U.S. persons that raised concerns in my mind about whether or not those individuals were cooperating with the Russians, either in a witting or unwitting fashion, and it served as the basis for the FBI investigation to determine whether such collusion — cooperation occurred.
Brennan’s intelligence “served as the basis for the FBI investigation”.
Brennan repeatedly made the assertion that he turned over any and all evidence to the FBI.
I made sure that anything that was involving U.S. persons, including anything involving the individuals involved in the Trump campaign was shared with the bureau [FBI].
We, the CIA and the intelligence community had collected a fair amount of information in the summer of 2016 about what the Russians were doing on multiple fronts. And we wanted to make sure that the FBI had full access to that.
Consider the situation Brennan was creating.
Repeated transfers of foreign intelligence from the CIA Director pushed the FBI towards the establishment of a formal Counterintelligence Investigation.
Imagine having to later testify before Congress and admit that you repeatedly ignored evidence the CIA Director considered credible and had personally passed along.
After a certain point, Comey was left with no choice.
FBI Agent Peter Strzok drafted the Electronic Communication and the FBI formally opened a Counterintelligence Investigation into the Trump Campaign.
The FBI would later determine there were no clear Russian links. Brennan’s evidence did not hold up to scrutiny.
Brennan later confirmed the use of British Intelligence – but conveniently left out his prominent role:
Todd: Did the Papadopoulos thing come through the CIA via the Five Eyes thing? Is that how that works?
Brennan: I’m not going to get into details about how it was acquired. But the FBI has very close relationship with its British counterparts. And so the FBI had visibility into a number of things that were going on involving some individuals who may have had some affiliation with the Trump campaign.
Suddenly it was the FBI that had visibility into “things that were going on”.
Chuck Todd referenced Five Eyes and Papadopoulos.
Five Eyes refers to a formalized intelligence-sharing alliance between the United States, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
George Papadopoulos – not Brennan – is supposedly the reason the FBI opened their Investigation into the Trump Campaign.
From the New York Times:
During a night of heavy drinking at an upscale London bar in May 2016, George Papadopoulos, a young foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign, made a startling revelation to Australia’s top diplomat in Britain: Russia had political dirt on Hillary Clinton.
About three weeks earlier, Mr. Papadopoulos had been told that Moscow had thousands of emails that would embarrass Mrs. Clinton, apparently stolen in an effort to try to damage her campaign.
The diplomat, Alexander Downer, informed the Australian government of the conversation.
Two months later, when leaked Democratic emails began appearing online, Australian officials passed the information about Mr. Papadopoulos to their American counterparts.
The hacking and the revelation that a member of the Trump campaign may have had inside information about it were driving factors that led the FBI to open an investigation in July 2016.
The House Memo would corroborate – and criticize – the FBI’s claimed use of Papadopoulos to open the July 2016 Trump-Russia Investigation:
The Page FISA application mentions information regarding Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos. There is no evidence of any cooperation or conspiracy between Page and Papadopoulos. The Papadopoulos information triggered the opening of an FBI counterintelligence investigation in late July 2016 by FBI agent Peter Strzok.
Note: The House Memo is not validating Papadopoulos as an appropriate rationale. They are merely re-stating the FBI’s formal reasoning.
The Papadopoulos excuse never made any sense.
The FBI didn’t bother to interview Papadopoulos until January 15, 2017. The conversation in question took place in May 2016. The FBI knew of this conversation no later than July 2016.
If the Papadopoulos information was enough to open a FBI counterintelligence investigation in July 2016, why did the FBI wait until January 2017 to even speak with Papadopoulos.
And if the Papadopoulos information was so critical, why was there no mention of either the information or Papadopoulos in any of the three Intelligence Community Reports on Russian Election Interference.
One other item of note.
On April 1, 2016 – before Papadopoulos reportedly was told Moscow had emails embarrassing to Clinton – the extradition of Romanian hacker Guccifer was reported:
A Romanian hacker known as “Guccifer” who posted unofficial emails sent to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the Internet was extradited from Romania and made his first court appearance in the United States on Friday.
It is entirely likely – perhaps probable – this story is what Papadopoulos was referring to in that London bar conversation.
The Electronic Communication lists the name of a “foreign country” and the name of a “foreign agent”.
As I noted, there are two likely possibilities contained within the EC.
But there’s only one true answer.
CIA Director John Brennan used information from our European counterparts to force FBI Director Comey into starting a formal Trump-Russia Investigation.
In my opinion, there are two fundamental stories that will ultimately unveil the entirety of what’s transpired in Washington:
The EC written by Peter Strzok and inspired by John Brennan's Interagency Task Force was the genisis of the FBI Trump investigation. The underlying information came from the UK and Fusion GPS through John Brennan. At the time it was still possible that the dischordant relationship tying Trump to Russia might be true. What is more germane is that those involved at the top of the outgoing Obama administration wanted it to be true.
The top of the Org chart at the FBI were part of the mob that hates Trump. This went beyond bias. The top officials of the premier law enforcement agency in America were out to get him. They still are. Here is what we know about the key players at the top of the FBI.
James Comey is too smug by half. His overbearing imperiousness and condescension serve to hide a truly filthy dirty and corrupt man. He is the one person in this sordid mess that everyone can easily hate. He deserves this huge animosity. You have no idea how horrible is he. You will be shocked what this "boy scout" has done.
James Comey has been subpoened again to testify again before Congress. Through his law firm, he is trying to dictate the terms under which he will testify. He is trying deparately to outlast the lame duck Congress. This week (December 3, 2018) he capitulated. He will testify to Congress with "conditions".
The advantage of an online interactive book is that while this is hidden news on December 1, 2018, it will be known history in January. The book can add another chapter. Maybe next month or maybe years from now. Jim Comey and his lawyers will probably outlast the lame ducks in Congress. Like most of the wrongdoing that happens in our nation's capitol, his malfeasance will vanish in the traditional media. Shame on our nation, shame on our press. Comey was a ringleader in two of the biggest scandals in Washington in my lifetime.
As a responce to government spying, many cell phones encrypt your data and lock your phone. Your big government does not like it. Jim Comey does not like it. Many of you remember the phone controversy re the infamous San Bernardino Muslim terrorist shooter, Farook Saaed. The FBI wanted Apple to create and electronically sign new software that would enable the FBI to unlock a work-issued iPhone 5C it recovered from one of the shooters who, in a December 2015 terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California, killed 14 people and injured 22. The two attackers later died in a shootout with police, having first destroyed their personal phones. Farook's work phone was recovered intact but was locked with a four-digit password and was set to eliminate all its data after ten failed password attempts. Apple declined to create the software to unlock the phone, and a hearing was scheduled for March 22. However, a day before the hearing was supposed to happen, the government obtained a delay, saying they had found a third party able to assist in unlocking the iPhone and, on March 28, it announced that the FBI had unlocked the iPhone and withdrew its request. In March 2018, the Los Angeles Times later reported "the FBI eventually found that Farook's phone had information only about work and revealed nothing about the plot."
Techdirt.com has an article on Comey's efforts to further tap your phones.
In his attempts to derail Trump, Jim did not wear a wire. He upped it a few notches. He wrote memoranda. This was better than a wire as he could invent the conversation. He never did this with Obama. So why with Trump? I think everyone can figure this out.
He is so smug, he expected these memoranda would be believed. After all they were written by the last boy scout James Comey, the 6'8" tall, Director of the FBI. These memoranda were his versions of his converstations with our President. These self serving memoranda were crafted to sound official yet he admitted some were illegally leaked through his friend, a lefty Columbia University Professor to the New York Times. He also leaked through James Baker, the FBI General Counsel.
Comey also disclosed, on national TV, the leaks of the memoranda were intended to appoint a Special Counsel (his friend and money co-conspirator Robert Mueller) that hopefully would remove our duly elected President from office. He admitted this. This was shocking. This could be considered chutzpah, but in hindsight it was just one more example of James Comey hubris. What did he do behind his public disclosures as the director of the FBI? The actions and the behaviour of his underlings provide a clue. What is astounding is that this man is not in prison. He confessed to what amounts to sedition. After he was fired Comey wrote a best selling book. I didn't buy it. He succeeded in having Bob Mueller appointed as Special Counsel. What is not known is how incestuous was the relationship between the two swamp dwellers, Mueller and Comey. Also what is not known by most is why they were so desperate to stop Trump. Follow the money. Here is the truth.
James Comey was the US Deputy Attorney General from December 2003 until August 2005 under George W. Bush. He made over $100K per year while in government service. When he left he became General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Lockeed Martin. He also joined several corporate boards. In the next four years, Comey was paid almost 20 million dollars. He received over 6 million in one year from Lockeed Martin. This was the same year that Robert Mueller's FBI gave a billion dollar contract to Lockeed. If he was making an average of $3-5 million a year, Why did he come back to head the FBI in 2009 to work as a civil servant? Comey's book offers no clues.
For nearly four years the FBI investigated the international theft of STEALTH defense technology from a small Florida marine company that invented an ingenious way to help protect Navy ships and nuclear ballistic submarines from being detected on enemy radar and sonar. This was stolen by companies partnered with Lockeed Martin.
On the eve before the case was go to a Grand Jury, the case was closed by then-FBI Director Robert Mueller and then-Attorney General Eric Holder.
This technology is now alledgebly being sold by an Fincantieri an Italian shipmaker (partnered with Lockeed Martin) to China and Russia.
In 2017 Lockeed and Fincantieri were awarded a contract to build LCS class ships to the US Navy near Green Bay Wisconsin.
This was just one of many Clinton Fundraisers in Russia.
The HSBC records suggest Richard Caring’s million dollar donation to the Clinton Foundation was paid in return for Bill Clinton’s attendance at a lavish costume charity ball organised by Caring in St. Petersburg, Russia. What would happen if this was Trump dressed like this? Caring is British retail magnate that because of his Italian American father, is but one that hides assets in HSBC.
James Comey served on the HSBC board while overseeing Hillary Clinton's email investigation.
HSBC or the Hong Kong Shanghai Banc Corporation is infamously known as the international drug cartel's money launderer of choice. This bank houses hidden Swiss bank accounts that have contributed over $80 million to the Clinton Foundation. The Clinton Foundation does not disclose donors.
Another Clinton foundation donor who had a HSBC account in the Geneva tax haven is Jeffrey Epstein a hedge fund manager and convicted sex offender. He alledgedly sexually abused over 40 young girls. He has his own 727 jet. He and Bill Clinton flew the world together 26 times. Great minds think alike. Just for some salacious fun, and a better view of Bill, look up Jeffrey Epstein on Google. The are a thousand articles that walk Bill and Epstein down the disgusting peodophile alley.
The list of nefarious HSBC Swiss bank accounts is another book. But one thing is constant. James Comey was on the board.
Pete has excelled at staying below the radar. But he failed at being invisible. So who is Peter Comey?
A journalist called the Chinatown offices of the D.C. law firm DLA Piper and asked for “Peter Comey,” a receptionist immediately put him through to Comey’s direct line. But Peter Comey is not featured on the DLA Piper website.
Peter Comey serves as “Senior Director of Real Estate Operations for the Americas” for DLA Piper. James Comey was not questioned about his relationship with Peter Comey in his confirmation hearing. DLA Piper is the firm that performed the independent audit of the Clinton Foundation in November during Clinton-World’s first big push to put the email scandal behind them. DLA Piper’s employees taken as a whole represent a major Hillary Clinton 2016 campaign donation bloc and Clinton Foundation donation base. DLA Piper ranks #5 on Hillary Clinton’s all-time career Top Contributors list, just ahead of Goldman Sachs. There is more re the Comey Brothers.
Much of America has a huge problem with James Comey. Comey reopened the Hillary email investigation less than two weeks before the election. Comey was confronted with a tranche of 675,000 Clinton emails. He was between a rock and a hard place. Andy McCabe, clearly in the Clinton tank, was doing nothing but the New York FBI office was holding a bomb of 675,000 Clinton emails on Weiner's Laptop. So Comey had to go public.
Both Hillary and the Clintonista's think this revelation cost Hillary the election. It might have. The timing was perfect and this was the perfect October surprise. But Weiner's laptop contained 675,000 Hillary emails. Hillary had only turned over 30,000 of the emails. It took almost a year to examine these emails. Comey had a deputy director (Andy McCabe) that was doing nothing and a SAC in New York threatening to go public. Comey had two choices. Espose these emails or bury them. What wis his choice?
Some background: The New York FBI office had seized Anthony Weiner's laptop as part of their investigation into his sex crimes with minors. These sordid liasons would later put him in prison. Weiner, (screen name Carlos Danger), was married to Hillary's top advisor, Huma Abedin. What a small world. On Weiner's laptop were 675,000 of Hillary Clinton emails that Huma had backed up on Weiner's hard drive over their wireless network in their not so humble New York abode.
The SAC in New York was in a tizzy. Comey had closed the Clinton email investigation on national TV. The big boss of his agency had accepted her self reporting of 30K emails and pronounced than no reasonable prosecuter would prosecute. The universally known universe of 30k emails, supplied by Hillary as despositive, was obviously a gigantic lie. The Special Agent in Charge of the New York FBI had 675,000 Hillary Clinton emails starring him in the face. There were obviously a ton of emails deleted and bleach bitted by Hillary Clinton. 675,000 were on Weiner's laptop. What was in them? Could they even look at them? There was actually a court ruling prohibiting examination for unknown reasons. What would you do? He did nothing. He threw the bomb upstairs.
This remarkable discovery was turned over to the Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe by the SAC in New York. Andy sat on it and did nothing, for weeks. But this bomb was ticking. I am sure everyone at the bureau was talking about the bomb. What James Comey knew and when he knew it is unknown, but he went public 11 days before the election. Comey's open letter re the Weiner laptop is very well known.
James Comey, the Lion, then took charge. He had to. His legacy and the FBI credibility were at risk. Comey then directed guess who, Peter Strzok, to examine the 675,000 emails on the Carlos Danger laptop. Two days later, the examination was closed. Comey was back on national TV with the nothing to see here. Move on public statement. Damage control completed. He thought.
There are many news accounts that describe the Tuesday pizza late night in which the Peter Strzok and the FBI supposedly examined 675,000 emails. It turns out they only looked at 3077 emails. These were hand picked by Strzok. Which of the 675,000 emails were overlooked? Why? It is possible that the missing 30,000 Hillary emails are still on this laptop. These 675,000 emails were never examined. Maybe we didn't need a Russia hack after all. Maybe everything was backed up to Carlos Danger's laptop. This is irony writ large. Where is this laptop? Who is in charge of it? Maybe is was destroyed with hammers? The FBI likes hammering devices. Just possibly, it deserves a look more extensive than the Peter Strzok Tuesday night pizza party. If we had a real press, they would be all over this story. Shame on them.
Kudoes to James Comey for tackling one of the most explosive national issues of a century and defusing it in a mere two days. He must be Superman. Where is this laptop? What happened to this laptop?
James Baker General Counsel to the FBI. The Washington Post referred to Baker as "Mr. FISA himself, Mr. James Baker, the DOJ point man on FISA." citing an NPR Q&A. How to get over on the FISA court and still stay within defensible legal bounds were his specialty. He was investigated by DOJ for alledgelly leaking one of the classified Comey Memoes. Baker was pushed out of the FBI by the new FBI Director Christopher Wray. He is currently cooperating with the House investigation. In a bombshell disclosure, Baker told the Nunes committee that Perkins Coie lawyer, Michael Sussman, was an FBI source in the FISA warrant applications on the Trump campaign. Obtaining FISA warants normally requires corroboration. Michael Sussman was a lawyer for Perkins Coie. Perkins Coie was the law firm hired by Hillary Clinton and the DNC to hire Fusion GPS. Sussman was not a counterintelligence agent.
Andy McCabe was the deputy director of the FBI. Comey's right hand man. He was fired for lying and leaking only a few days before securing his pension. Unlike Comey he has been referred to DOJ for prosecution. McCabe has admitted to duscussing that Rob Rosenstein to wear a wire in Trump meetings. He also discussed ousting President Trump with the never before used 25th Amendment. Rosenstein as I write this (10/12/2018) has refused to testify before Congress. So has Glenn Simpson the founder of Fusion of Fusion GPS. McCabes's wife Jill ran for congress and lost. Sixty eight percent of Jill McCabe's campaign contributions came from close freind's of Hillary Clinton (Terry McCauliffe) during her investigation. McCabe's FBI counsel was Lisa Page.
The FBI and the CIA investigate. This is their job. Who they investigate is usually the result of a reported crime. Infrequently it is a result of a suspected crime. Investigations under the US Constitution have rules. Our founding fathers were all too aware of the potential of abuse of the prosecutorial power by government. Thus, they made rules. This classic struggle between the power of the state and the rights of the individual used to be the essence of liberalism. The post FDR Warren Court, did a wonderful job in supporting the ideals of classic liberalism.
These constitutional rules are routinely broken every day in the zeal of the investigators, prosecutors and the police to get bad people off the street. This is why so many legal proceedings are justly overturned by appellate courts. In rare cases, the endemic misconduct of these prosecutors are charged. Even more than ordinary street thugs, prosecutors (and police) enjoy freedom from prosecution. Prosecutors have special laws that protect them.
Prosecutors have legal tools they can use to go after you. Search warrants, siezures of private property (such as cash that tests positive for cocaine). In a study of all the the cash in police officers wallets, 94% tested positive for cocaine. But the most powerful tool for the the US government is a FISA warrant.
In Trump Russia, the FBI Carter Page FISA warrant is what will bring down dozens. The most powerful tool for our government is a FISA warrant. The FISA court is secret. A FISA warrant grants huge power to those obtain this warrant, secretly.
The obvious crime is the lies to the huge power of FISA court. The lies started with the evil Brennan and fell to the numbskull FBI. Because these court proceedings are secret and hidden from America, it is incumbent on Government officials that they are held to a higher standard. A FISA warrant will allow spying on millions of innocent civilians without probable cause. Most Americans are not aware of the power of government. You didn't have to be a target of a wiretpap. The NSA taps every phone call. They tap your browsing history. They record all your texts. The NSA records all of your emails.
The rules are applied AFTER your data is collected.
If you had anything to do with the Trump campaign, Obama admin officials could see anything and everything you did online.
Most of this spying and eavesdropping was close to legal under US law. Effectively we had a sitting Obama Administration with access to the the most intimate converstations and thoughts of their hated opposition. Obama and the entire team was spying on Trump.
What made it this spying legal was the FISA warrant on Carter Page. What makes it all illegal is the fraud on the FISA court to obtain the warrant. Through access to the endless treasure trove of NSA Internet data collection. This fraudelent warrant and three fraudelent extensions of the warrant is a very big deal. The Carter Page FISA warrant coupled with three hop rule and the Obama executive order to allow all departments access to the NSA database. The FISA court is is held to a higher standard. It was not disclosed that the facts were actually opposition research paid for by the Clinton campaign. These same "facts" were coorberated by news leeks of the same material (circular reporting). James Baker, the FISA wizard, is in big trouble.
Also is the meddling of the CIA in domestic politics. Lines were crossed.
Also obvious is the obstruction of justice in trying to hide this gross abuse of power. The disgraced James Comey is still trying to dictate the terms of his congressional testimony.
